Disney Half Marathon and Marathon - Andy and I went to Orlando, Florida to partake in the Half Marathon and Marathon events the weekend of January 13, 2008. We had an amazing time. It was Kimmi's FIRST 1/2 marathon... 3 hours... with part of the race taking you through the Disney Magic Kingdom. All of the Disney characters were out on the route and Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy kicked off the start! There were over 38,000 runners in the half marathon. On Sunday, the marathon had less than half of the runners. Some runners chose to do both races... Andy did great considering he is still recooperating from a foot injury in July.
